LAM gives parents clinical-grade reassurance about their child's health from a phone. The app runs AI-assisted checks from a short video or sound recording — head shape, cough, throat, skin and vitals — and returns guidance on whether something needs attention. LIA, the built-in triage assistant, answers follow-up questions the way a paediatric triage nurse would.
The cross-platform app is built in React Native with TypeScript on a Node.js/MongoDB backend, and shipped to the App Store in September 2022 under the Health & Fitness and Medical categories. It has stayed in active release since, currently at version 3.3.1. The product site at littleangelmedical.com is a separate WordPress/WooCommerce build covering the marketing, investor and FAQ surfaces.
Everything about this product is constrained by the fact that it is health software for children: assessments are logged over time so parents can share a history with a real clinician, and the interface has to be usable by an exhausted parent at 3am who is not going to read instructions.

Handled device sync, offline capture and store release preparation
Maintained the WordPress/WooCommerce marketing site alongside the app
Challenges & solutions
Capture quality decides result quality. An AI check on a blurry video is worse than no check. The capture flows guide framing and lighting and reject unusable recordings on-device, before anything is uploaded or assessed.
Confidence without diagnosis. The app has to be useful without ever pretending to be a doctor. Results are framed as guidance with an explicit escalation path to a clinician, and every assessment is retained so a real appointment starts with a history rather than a description.
