Hi, I'm Ali Haider

I'm a senior software engineer based in Karachi, Pakistan, with 6+ years of experience designing and shipping production-grade web and mobile applications. My core expertise sits at the intersection of React.js, Next.js, and modern JavaScript on the frontend, paired with Node.js, Express, and GraphQL on the backend — giving me end-to-end ownership of the products I build, from architecture to deployment.

Since 2020, I've delivered full-stack products across six companies, ranging from fast-moving local agencies to a Swedish SaaS platform. In these roles, I've owned React and Next.js frontends, built and scaled Node.js/GraphQL APIs, and set up the DevOps pipelines that keep deployments smooth and reliable. I've also worked extensively with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORMs like Prisma and Sequelize to design clean, scalable data layers.

Beyond full-time roles, I run a freelance practice delivering web and mobile apps with React Native — working directly with clients to turn ambiguous ideas into shipped, usable products. This has sharpened my ability to work independently, manage scope, and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

What sets my approach apart is that I care as much about how a product feels as how it works. I hold a strong eye for UI/UX, and I believe good engineering isn't just about functionality — it's about writing code that's maintainable, systems that scale, and experiences that people genuinely enjoy using.
